I am a freelance UI/UX designer with 6+ years of experience and 88+ completed projects, available from $24 per hour or $900 per week. I handle research through to a built component system, and because I also develop, the design you approve is the design that ships.

Most UI/UX hires go wrong in the same place. The design is approved, handed to a developer, and what comes back has the right components and the wrong feel - correct spacing, broken rhythm. The spec captured the measurements and lost the judgement.

I design and build, so there is no handoff to lose anything in. You can hire me for design alone, and I will still produce a component system rather than a picture of one.

What you actually get

Research proportionate to the decision: interviews and usability testing where the answer is genuinely unknown, and a quick competitive pass where it is not. I will not bill for a six-week discovery phase on a project whose shape is already obvious.

Then information architecture, wireframes, interface design across every state, and a documented component set with rules for when to use each piece. The last part is what keeps a site consistent after I am gone, which matters more than any individual screen.

Every state, not just the happy path

The most common gap in freelance design work is screens that only exist in their ideal condition. Loading, empty, error, partial, permission-denied, and what happens on a second submit are where products actually feel broken.

I design those because I build them. A designer who never implements their own work has no feedback loop telling them which states were missed.

Working with your developers

If you have a team, I deliver into their stack rather than into a file they have to interpret - tokens as the real values, components matching their framework conventions, and a working session rather than a handover document.

If you do not have a team, I build it. Shopify, WordPress, or a headless front end in Next.js, React or Astro.

Common questions

How much does it cost to hire a freelance UI/UX designer?

My rates are $24 per hour, $900 per week, or $3,520 per month for full-time. A typical app or site design runs two to six weeks depending on screen count. Weekly is usually better value than hourly once a project passes about thirty hours.

Do you work with startups or only established companies?

Both. Startups usually need the full arc from concept to shipped interface, which suits one person doing design and development. Established teams more often need a specific piece - a redesign, a design system, or research on a flow that is underperforming.

What time zones do you work across?

I am based in India and work with clients across the US, UK, Europe and Australia. I keep overlapping hours for calls and have done so for years - most weeks involve at least two time zones.

Can I hire you for design only, without development?

Yes, and plenty of clients do. You still get a component system rather than flat mockups, which is what makes the build predictable for whoever implements it.
