I work at $24 per hour, $900 per week, or $3,520 per month for full-time dedicated work. Hourly suits short projects and consultations, weekly suits ongoing part-time support, and monthly suits teams that need an embedded designer.
Most engagements run through Upwork, which handles contracts, milestones and payment protection for both sides. For direct work I invoice against agreed milestones, typically with a deposit before the work starts.
No strict minimum, but engagements under about a week of work are usually better served hourly than weekly. If you have a small, well-defined piece of work, hourly is the most economical way to run it.

There are no charges for kick-off calls, project setup or file handover. If something would genuinely fall outside the agreed scope, I will tell you before doing it rather than after.
