Agree the problem, the audience and the constraints.
From first concept to a product that ships.
End-to-end product design - strategy, concept, interface and iteration - for teams building something new or rethinking what they have.
Product design is the whole arc: understanding the problem, choosing what to build, designing it, and improving it once real users arrive.
I work as an embedded design partner rather than a one-off vendor, which suits teams that need design thinking in the room while decisions are being made.
This is usually a longer engagement, most often on my weekly or monthly rate.
Handing a designer a finished spec and asking for screens wastes most of what a designer brings. The valuable contribution usually happens earlier - questioning whether the feature solves the problem, spotting where a simpler approach exists, noticing what the roadmap has not accounted for.
On product engagements I work inside your process: joining planning, using your tools, treating your roadmap as the brief and pushing back where it is worth pushing back.
Most teams have more ideas than capacity. The useful design question is not "how should this look" but "is this the thing worth building next, and what is the smallest version that tests it?"
I help frame that: what problem it solves, who for, what evidence supports it, and what the cheapest honest test would be. Sometimes the answer is a prototype rather than a build.
Launch is the middle of the process, not the end. Once real users arrive you find out which assumptions held. I stay involved to read that evidence and iterate - fixing the friction that only shows up at scale, and building on what is working.
This is why product design usually runs on a weekly or monthly engagement rather than a fixed project fee: the work is ongoing by nature.
Yes. On monthly engagements I work as an embedded designer - joining your stand-ups, working in your tools and treating your roadmap as the brief.
I am in India (IST) and routinely overlap with US and UK teams. We agree the overlap hours at the start of the engagement, and I keep written updates flowing so progress is visible without depending on calls.
Most run three months or longer, because the value comes from being involved through build and iteration rather than delivering a fixed set of screens and leaving.
How a product design engagement actually runs, start to finish.
Agree the problem, the audience and the constraints.
Test several directions before committing to one.
Design the product surface and support the build.
Improve against real usage after launch.
