Agree the templates and content types the site actually needs.
Sites your team can actually edit after I leave.
WordPress sites built with Elementor Pro - custom layouts, reusable templates and a page builder setup your team can run without breaking the design.
WordPress with Elementor Pro remains the fastest route to a site a non-technical team can maintain. The catch is that most Elementor builds degrade within months, because nothing stops an editor from assembling pages that no longer look like the brand.
I build with that failure mode in mind: global styles, locked theme settings and a library of reusable templates, so new pages come out looking right by default.
A page builder gives editors enormous freedom. Without structure, that freedom produces twenty slightly different button styles, six heading sizes and spacing that drifts page by page.
The fix is not to restrict the team, it is to make the correct choice the easiest one. Global colours and typography, pre-built section templates and documented patterns mean an editor assembling a new page naturally produces something on-brand.
WordPress gets blamed for being slow when the real cause is usually twenty plugins doing overlapping jobs, an unoptimised image library and a page builder loading assets for widgets the page does not use.
I audit plugins and remove duplication, configure caching properly, compress and correctly size images, and keep the builder lean. A well-built Elementor site can score perfectly respectably - it just will not do it by accident.
WordPress is excellent when content changes often, when non-technical people need to publish independently, and when you want a large plugin ecosystem for things like forms, bookings or memberships.
It is the wrong choice when you need a highly custom application interface, when performance requirements are extreme, or when you want a front end in React or Astro. In those cases a headless setup serves you better, and I build those too - so the recommendation is not driven by what I happen to sell.
Design across desktop, tablet and mobile, theme setup, Elementor Pro build with global styles, reusable section templates, a documented component library, forms and integrations, performance configuration and SEO fundamentals.
Handover includes a short walkthrough recording, because the value of a maintainable site is only realised if the team actually knows how to use it.
Elementor Pro for most projects, because it leaves the client able to edit their own site. I set up global styles and reusable templates so the build stays consistent as the team adds pages.
Usually yes. Most slow WordPress sites suffer from plugin overlap, oversized images and misconfigured caching rather than anything fundamental. I audit all three and fix what is actually costing load time.
Yes - that is the main reason to choose WordPress. You get reusable templates, global styles and a walkthrough recording so your team can publish new pages without the design drifting.
WordPress if content changes often and non-technical people need to publish independently. Headless if you need a custom React or Astro front end, extreme performance, or to serve the same content to a website and an app. I build both, so the answer is not driven by what I prefer to sell.
